If your dog measures on the cusp of the size chart we would recommend you opt for the smaller size collar, as collars do relax a little as they are worn. A collar should fit not too loose, not too tight, if you’re able to slip just two fingers between the collar and the dog, it’s sized appropriately.

A collar is essential when walking, even if a harness is used as the collar is ideal for holding the i.d tag for quick identification should it be required.

A flat collar is great for quick release as they have a clip. A martingale collar is ideal for sighthounds, dogs with slim heads and dogs that have a tendency to ‘back out’ of their collar. Waterproof collars are the perfect match for mud magnets and dogs that roll.
